About Me
Hi! I’m Bella! I arrived in the U.S. from S. Korea on 4/23/2026. After being rescued from life in a cage at a meat farm, I had bilateral knee surgery in South Korea; now I have an awkward gait. I’ve been receiving acupuncture and physical therapy since arriving here. Now I’m feeling great and ready for my new home!
My Story
Hi! I’m Bella! 💕
I was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea and arrived in the U.S. on April 23, 2026.
When I was rescued, I was found in a cage and was unable to walk. While I was with my Korean rescue team, I had bilateral knee surgery. I can walk now, although I still have an awkward gait. Since arriving at GBRR, I’ve been receiving acupuncture and physical therapy, and I’ve made enough progress that I’m ready to find my forever home!
When I first arrived in the U.S., I was frightened by almost everything and wasn’t sure I wanted to be around people. But thanks to the patience, love, and care of my foster mom, I’ve blossomed into a loving companion. Now I enjoy being with my people and meeting new friends!
I’m a low-key girl who would much rather relax at home than go for long walks. Physical therapy has helped me feel more comfortable and mobile, and I absolutely love carrying around and shaking my favorite bird toys. I rarely bark, and I’m an easygoing, well-mannered girl in the house.
I take daily medication for pain, so my forever family will need to be committed to continuing my medical care. I also don’t like getting in the car and currently need to be lifted in. Once I’m in I ride really well and appear to enjoy it. I’ll just need someone who can safely lift me in and be patient with me while I learn that car rides aren’t so scary. If you have another dog that help because I will get in if they get in.
One of my favorite things in the world is other dogs! 🐶💕 I would love to have a canine companion in my forever home. I enjoy short play sessions, but I’m just as happy relaxing alongside my dog friends. I’ve also done well with visiting children. We don’t know how I feel about cats yet, but I haven’t shown aggression toward other animals.
My journey has been a big one. I’ve gone from being a scared girl who didn’t trust the world to a sweet, affectionate companion who is learning that life can be good.
I may need a little time and patience when I’m getting to know new people and experiencing new things. But once I feel safe, my sweet personality really shines.
I’m looking for a patient and loving forever family who will let me continue building my confidence, keep up with my medical care, and hopefully give me a doggy friend to share my life with. I’ve come so far, and I’m ready to find the people who will love me for the rest of my journey. 💗

Settling In
Bella came to her foster home very shut down. She was thin, depressed and not interested in food. Once she was able to decompress for a few weeks her sweet, gentle and quirky nature began to emerge. She has gained weight and is much more active, even getting the zoomies now and then! She is also receiving special physical therapy and acupuncture to help with her mobility.
