About Me
Boone is an amazing dog and his progress speaks to his spirit and resilience. He came into the rescue about a month ago having been severely neglected and in bad shape, including having terribly infected skin. Fast forward a month and he’s made such good progress in foster care. He’s gone from shell-shocked to an outgoing, curious, sweet, playful and devoted boy. His infections have been treated and he’s looking and feeling so much better!
Boone loves attention from his humans and seeks out cuddles every day. He has the sweetest habit of coming to the side of the bed of his favored human each night to rest his head for a moment, as if to say goodnight, and then heads off to his dog bed.
He’s house trained and crate trained, and this smart boy already knows several commands.
Boone loves his walks but his fosters are working with him on his intermittent leash reactivity. He particularly has trouble if the dog starts barking at him. But he’s a smart boy, and these things take time. He’s had a lot of change. Note that he lives with other dogs in foster care and does very well with them.
