About Me
Lizzie may be a petite gal, but she has a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. This sweet girl is playful, affectionate, and happiest when she’s right by her person. She’s a true Velcro dog who loves being included in whatever you’re doing. And when she’s excited, get ready for the wiggles — Lizzie is one adorable little wiggle worm!
Lizzie LOVES to play ball. She’ll happily chase it, bring it back, and sometimes even entertain herself by tossing the ball into the air and batting it around. She also loves her chew toys and is very food motivated, which should make continued training a lot of fun.
Lizzie does well with dogs who can match her playful energy. She can take a little time to warm up to new canine friends, so slow and thoughtful introductions are best. She can also be vocal when something feels scary or threatening to her, so she’ll benefit from a patient person who can help her build confidence and learn that the world isn’t such a scary place.
She walks well on leash and is continuing to work on her leash manners. We’re still learning about how she does with cats and children, so those would need to be evaluated carefully with the right introductions.
Lizzie is looking for someone who will appreciate her playful, affectionate, slightly silly personality and give her the patience, structure, and love she needs to keep growing into her best self. If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who will happily follow you around, make you laugh, and never let you forget she’s there — Busy Lizzie might be your girl!

Foster Update
Elizabeth has been in foster care for two-weeks and she is making progress every day. This girl had to grow up really quickly because she had a litter of pups before she was even 1-year-old. Her situation was pretty stressful and she had to be a protective mom (and she was an excellent one). Fast forward two weeks and she’s loving getting attention from and cuddling with her people. She’s doing very well with one of the resident dogs, but is still wary of the other one. Baby steps!
