My Story

My name is Josie . I currently weigh 22 lbs, and I should be under 40 lbs when I am fully grown.

I am young, healthy, and full of energy. My absolute favorite activity is playing with other dogs. I spend most of my time running in the backyard and initiating play. I can be a bit pushy sometimes, as I am still learning my doggy manners. I am also highly food-motivated and love squeaky stuffed toys.

When I am comfortable with my people, I show my affection by jumping, nipping, licking, and kissing. However, I am very shy and uncertain around strangers. If I feel overwhelmed, my instinct is to flee. I need help building my confidence around new people in a safe, secure way.

I do okay on a leash, but I am not house-trained yet and my recall needs a lot of work so I’ll need help with that.

Foster Update

Doing well at home, but the outside world is still a little too much. Shy with strangers outside the home. Needs work on jumping and nipping.
