About Me
Stetson is settling nicely into his foster home. He’s soaking up all the attention he can get, and is doing well with the resident dog. He’s both house trained and crate trained, although he hasn’t been crated more than a couple of hours and just on occasion. He loves chewing on toys, but he’s a little rough on soft toys. He doesn’t chew anything that isn’t his though. He sleeps in the master bedroom on a dog bed or on the floor, but has been known to sneak up on the bed to say hello on occasion. Stetson is a puller on leash, so we’re working on getting him used to a halti headcollar – he doesn’t particularly like it, but hopefully it will be a short-lived tool and he’ll be walking better on his own.
Stetson came into the rescue severely underweight, so the veterinarian has been doing a variety of tests to see if they can determine an underlying cause. So far, the tests have come back negative (a good sign) and he gained 1.5 pounds in two weeks, so his foster family is pleased.
Stetson is a sweet, sweet boy with a “joie to vivre”. Stay tuned for updates as we get to know more about him.
